The Human Development Forum Foundation is a dedicated educational and research organization, defined by our motto, “knowledge improves life.” We are a Thailand-based independent, non-governmental foundation without any religious or political affiliations. Our research and training staff come from a diverse background including education, business, development, social work, and defense, among others. With decades of combined academic and real-world experience, we strive to build local capacity, improve the security of our communities, and contribute meaningful knowledge to society through all of our educational and research programs.
We are currently seeking a native Thai speaking Program Assistant Intern to start as soon as possible.**Specific responsibilities of the Thai-speaking intern will include**:
· Serving as English-Thai liaison between foundation and various local Thai partners
· Serving as English-Thai interpreter/translator on occasion
· Respond to email, fax, and telephone inquiries in English and Thai
General Responsibilities will include:
· Provide the program team with support in logistical coordination of foundation activities
· Assist in additional tasks as required by the foundation
· Support ASEAN-related research projects
· Support HDFF's Stay Safe Training for non-profits
· Write web articles and contribute to HDFF's monthly newsletter
· Attend conferences on regional security and ASEAN-related topics
· Support HDFF's program officers with their general functions
Additionally, the applicant should be fluent in spoken and written English, and should be comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
How to apply:
An internship with HDFF should last between 3 to 6 months. Please state the dates and length of time you are available in your cover letter. We are looking for enthusiastic and qualified individuals to start as soon as possible. HDFF supports all our interns with a stipend of 5,000 baht per month. HDFF cannot guarantee an offer of employment at the end of the internship; however, employment may be offered to high performing interns based on availability of funding and needs of the organization, subject to the discretion of the management.
