Security Manager – South Sudan
The total salary package for this position is £35,868 - £39,012 per annum including basic salary, hardship allowance and cost of living allowance.

About the South Sudan programme:
South Sudan is one of the youngest, poorest and least developed countries worldwide. The 2013 outbreak of hostilities has led to thousands of people being killed or wounded, and hundreds of thousands of people being displaced by the violence. MAG has been working in South Sudan since 2004, working to clear landmines/unexploded ordnance and deliver mine risk education to at-risk populations.
About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Security Manager for our South Sudan Programme. You will act as a focal point for collection and dissemination of security information and will be responsible for developing and delivering a functioning security management system. A solid understanding of NGO security management is a key requirement for the role, as is effective communication with external partners.
About you:
You will have considerable experience of security planning and implementation, preferably gained in the context of relief operations in insecure areas. In addition, you will also have experience and knowledge of the South Sudan context and the ability to analyse the changing security environment is essential. In addition, you must have proven excellence in communication and liaison skills with an awareness of diplomacy and tact.

• Accommodation: MAG will provide accommodation in-country.
• Leave: We recognise our staff work hard and need the appropriate time out to stay motivated. You'll have a minimum of six weeks out of the programme per year. Staff in hardship programmes are also be entitled to an additional 10 days of hardship leave per year.
• Flights: MAG provides three international flights home per year.
