The role of the Programme Coordinator is to oversee the management of MC grants for ICCM, nutrition and HMIS Programmes. The programming is focused on community case management for childhood illnesses (malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea) with nutrition, and new programs in Health Information Management Systems, and Health System Strengthening. The job will support the project ensure one its key objective of increasing the provision and utilisation of ICCM services to treat malaria, diarrhoea, pneumonia through improving case management and quality of care are met
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant post graduate degree, ideally Masters in Public Health
- At least 3 years experience working in project management of public health programmes, ideally in a developing country
- At least 1 years experience of managing budgets of over 1 million GBP
- Previous experience working in a developing country preferably humanitarian context
- Experience in proposal development and reporting
- Significant experience in budget holding duties
- Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and to remain flexible and calm under pressure
- Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues
- Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures
- Experience and understanding of logistics systems
- Excellent experience in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
