Thailand: Consultancy

Malaria Consortium is hiring for a consultant to be based in Thailnad. The consultant will finalise the assessment tool, conduct an assessment, in consultation with NDCPs, of the current surveillance system for dengue, and to provide practical and feasible recommendations to strengthen the response system at national and community levels.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience with surveillance assessments and reporting on vector borne diseases such as malaria, with specific expertise in IT systems and data flow/management
• Experience conducting outbreak investigations and evaluations
• Experience working with the health ministries and sub-national health authorities

Travel involved: The majority of work can be accomplished within Bangkok and Vientiane. Up to two field visits to assess systems and practices at the provincial level will be required.
