Purpose of the Job:

To offer leadership and technical guidance to project staff to ensure full implementation of the CDC project on Strengthening Laboratory and Blood Transfusion Services in South Sudan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

. Work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and key partners to develop activities and implementation strategies for effective project performance.

· Lead a team of technical and support staff to effectively implement the Project, under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI).

· Provide leadership to the national coordinating committee comprising partners, including the Ministry of Health, in delivering all project activities.

· Ensure CDC project annual work plans are effectively implemented, and in close collaboration with the MOH and project partners ensure the agreed reporting deadlines are fully complied with.

· Oversight responsibility to ensure appropriate management of project budget and full compliance with donor contractual requirements and Amref Health Africa financial policies and procedures.

· Represent Amref Health Africa to national and local authorities in South Sudan and in health coordination fora (meetings) at national, state and county levels, and assist in the management of both internal and external communications at all levels.
